Watts was appointed to assist the client with altering and refurbishing 39 York Place. The project involved upgrading and adapting the property to comply with The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Part 3). This included the construction and installation of a disabled lift and ramp to the rear of the property. Internally, the property was altered to make it more open plan and refurbished to Grade A office standard.
Watts’ brief was to prepare a scheme for adapting the project to comply with legislation relating to the DDA. Watts was involved in this project from inception to completion and provided contract administration, design and specification and planning supervisor services.
