The client was considering embarking on a sale and leaseback arrangement on a number of retail branch outlets throughout the country. Watts was commissioned to inspect and produce reports and schedules of condition on a number of branches for the client. A team of ten surveyors was put together to complete a four-week inspection of the bank’s premises, which ranged in location from Cork to Sligo. The reports were made available to the eventual purchaser and the schedules of condition attached to the proposed leases. Watts provided a warrant for the surveys to the purchasers.
Watts’ brief was to inspect 21 branch properties and to compile pre-acquisition surveys and schedules of condition. These were posted on the internet for prospective purchasers to view.
