Watts was instructed by the client to undertake a feasibility study and provide budget costings for an alteration and extension on Brudenell Primary School. Subsequently, Watts acted as contract administrator and planning supervisor, to prepare design specification and competitive tendering documentation. The project was managed from the construction phase to the agreement of the final account.
Wattsâ brief was to provide additional classroom space and to convert the existing open-plan teaching areas into traditional classrooms. Current building and planning legislation had to be taken into consideration as part of the design specification.
