GIC-Government of Singapore
York House, Marble Arch

Client:
GIC-Government of Singapore
Consultant:
Watts Group PLC
Service:
Project Management
Project Cost:
Circa £3 million

Watts was appointed as lead consultant, contract administrator and project manager for the London relocation of GIC. The move included the integration of their separately housed real estate team, managed within the original project timescales. This challenging fit-out scheme was completed shortly after the new building had been completed, presenting the design team with the task of integrating with the new base build systems.

Watts’ brief was to provide a clean corporate space for the client with sufficient extra space for future growth. The key challenge was to complete the heavily integrated services and data requirements for the client’s trading facility within a tight timescale. The scheme included a fully supported communications room with UPS and generator back up, and encompassed the running of new dedicated electrical and telecoms supplies incorporated within the programme.

Watts regularly advises on issues of contractual performance. The process of independent reporting and advice is at the core of Watts’ Technical Assurance Commission with OCG Buying Solutions. This commission covers an extremely wide range of construction and facilities management issues.
