Watts was commissioned to undertake a survey of the Hampstead Secondary School drama block to provide a solution for repair of the defective roof. Watts acted as lead consultant, CDM coordinator and contract administrator. The project comprised making good any substantially defective roof covering, replacing all pipe penetrations and providing a single layer roofing system as the technical solution to suit budget, programme and life span.

Watts’ brief was to install a single layer roof overlay membrane on top of the existing defective roof in order to give a guaranteed ten years waterproof roof covering.

A ten-year guarantee period was requested, as it is likely that the school will be subject to substantial refurbishment under the Government's BSF scheme.
