Mega Stores

Watts was appointed by the client to carry out technical due diligence on Mega Stores, an indoor shopping centre in The Hague. Mega Stores comprises approximately 120,000 sq m of gross floor area and is divided over three floors. The roof of the second and third floors is used for car parking and has approximately 1,700 spaces. The parking facilities are accessed via two ramps, which are situated on both sides of the centre.

Watts’ brief was to organise and undertake a full structural building inspection, together with a full mechanical and electrical services installations inspection. A building condition report detailing repair and refurbishment costs for the next ten years was also prepared. In addition, Watts was requested to carry out a review of the electronic data room that was set up for this purchase.
