Watts was appointed to survey all leisure centre and swimming pool buildings in the London Borough of Redbridge and to provide detailed, costed, schedules of condition. Watts used an in-house team of surveyors and cost consultants to efficiently resource this project as well as project managing the specialist mechanical and electrical consultants.
Watts was able to effectively capture data where appropriate using the latest hand-held computer technology. This approach enabled use of a bespoke survey structure exactly suited to the client’s portfolio and reporting requirements.
Watts’ brief was to carry out condition surveys involving an inspection of all building fabric and mechanical and electrical matters to inform a detailed review of building maintenance cost and expenditure planning. The collected data had to be presented in Excel spreadsheet format, with detailed costings prepared by Watts’ specialist cost consultants. The brief required that the condition survey reports were supplemented with detailed colour photographs. |
