Watts monitored
the refurbishment of over 300 Shell
service stations throughout Spain.
This included monitoring mechanical
installations, petrol pump replacements,
and the construction of new stations.
Each project was divided into four
phases, which comprised: a feasibility
study, including a layout and a
cost estimate; tender and quotation
analysis, with a target proposal;
purchase orders and construction
reports; and a handover and warranty
period.
Watts monitored planned
expenditure and ongoing costs,
to ensure that any additional costs
were justified and approved. Financial
account summaries were verified
monthly to ensure suppliers and
contractors were paid. Watts provided the client with
regular reports, from the initial
feasibility stage, so that the
client could compare the first
budget with the final estimate
and the capital spent. |
