Watts monitored the
refurbishment
of over 300 Shell service stations throughout Spain. This included monitoring
mechanical installations, petrol pump replacements, and the construction of new
stations. Each project was divided into four phases, which comprised: a feasibility
study, including a layout and a cost estimate; tender and quotation analysis,
with a target proposal; purchase orders and construction reports; and a handover
and warranty period.
Watts provided a
project management service for
each particular job. A close relationship
with
the client's engineering department was paramount to the success of each project.
Once the individual service stations were completed, Watts managed
the handover to the engineer in charge. During the warranty period, Watts oversaw the making good of defects, and liaised with the dealer and
the contractors. |
