105 - 109 Cannon Street
London, EC4

Client:
Aberdeen Property Asset Managers
Consultant:
Watts
Service:
Project Management
Project Cost:
£1.2 million

Watts was appointed to coordinate the refurbishment of the reception and six office floors at 105-109 Cannon Street. The project needed to be managed from feasibility stage through to completion. APAM required the offices to be refurbished so that once completed, new 15-year leases could be provided.

Refurbishment included four-pipe fan coil air conditioning, raised floors, a new reception and new WCs. Specification and drawings were prepared, competitively tendered, and reported to the client prior to work commencing.

The project involved: agreeing the scope of refurbishment with the client and their letting agents, applying for statutory consents, obtaining competitive tenders, project managing the in-house professional team and an M&E consultant, and acting as the contract administrator.

Careful planning was needed to programme the work around retail tenants at ground floor level, that remained in occupation throughout.

The offices comprise approximately 1160 sq m of prime city space and were built in the late 1970s.
