Watts was appointed to provide project management and cost consultancy services relating to the roll-out of the Department of Education’s Classroom 2000 initiative. The project comprised the installation of electrical and IT infrastructure services to 160 schools throughout the Belfast board area and was completed over a four-year period.
Reporting to the Head of Property Services, Watts’ brief was to manage the complete rollout on behalf of the Board. The works comprised: coordination and management of four consultant teams; development of a procurement framework, to facilitate an evolving flow of work; and management of the global budget. |
