Watts was appointed to carry out surveys for a portfolio of 59 properties, mainly consisting of retail buildings such as shopping centres and supermarkets, but also residential buildings in the north of Germany. Watts was instructed to carry out technical due diligence and desktop environmental investigation, including the data room investigations, for all properties.
Watts’ brief was to undertake 59 surveys, the data room visit and issue the reports accordingly after only 17 working days. At the same time the desktop environmental investigations were undertaken. A mechanical and electrical survey was only required for two of the properties. It was very important for the client that the proposed deadline would not be exceeded.
