Watts was appointed as an external consultant to coordinate the expansion of Frankie and Benny’s restaurant. The design phase
was coordinated alongside the client’s interior designer who was based in the UK, and all finishings, features and decorations were delivered
directly from UK suppliers. The back office design was completed locally to accommodate the ‘activity’ regulations of the local authorities.
The fit-out contractor built all installations and liaised with direct supplier firms regarding the interior furnishings.
The client requested that Watts use the same suppliers to complete the refurbishment and design of the Spanish-based eatery.
This ensured the restaurants had the same feel and ambience of the Frankie and Benny restaurants in the UK. Most of the cladding finishes
were not approved previously in Spain, which meant Watts had to manage the process of obtaining the credits for the materials.
