Watts acted as project manager for the demolition and rebuild of
Laurel Lodge, located on a one-acre site in the exclusive suburb of Foxrock in
South Dublin. The scope of works include the demolition of the existing house
and the construction of a new 678 sq m two-storey home with coach house. Watts
was responsible for ensuring that the design team delivered a
building that was to the clients needs in respect of design and quality of
finish.
Watts was instructed to select and appoint the architect,
structural engineer, mechanical and electrical engineer, and quantity surveyor.
Professional fees were agreed and Watts arranged collateral
warranties for the design consultants. Permission was obtained from the
planning consultant to proceed with the project and design of the house and
works were supervised on site to ensure that the project was delivered on time
and in budget.
