The London Bridge City project, on the south bank of the Thames, stretches from London Bridge to HMS Belfast and comprises office and retail space. Watts was commissioned to provide a monitoring and consultancy service during the base build construction period. On completion, Watts was further instructed to administer and coordinate the fitting out operations of the office and retail tenants.
The service provided by Watts necessitated close liaison with the construction managers and the design team members throughout. Detailed assessments of the progress and monitoring of the project were undertaken and were instrumental in identifying specific problems which were then resolved. Due to the size of the project, a small team of surveyors and specialists were based permanently on the site.
