Watts carried out a series of studies into the operation of a PFI Schools Project. The studies looked at three areas: historic and current contentious contract issues; management systems analyses and recommendations; and an initial audit report on PFI contractor performance. The PFI contract’s operation had become controversial, and Watts provided a comprehensive healthcheck so that it could be put back on track. Watts then debriefed the client and managed the implementation of the recommendations.
Watts was commissioned to produce a report that was recognised independently by all parties. Full access to all council documentation was given and all interested parties were invited to contribute to the discussion, so as to obtain maximum closure to long-standing contractual and management issues. The position of independent reportage, coupled with full buy-in by the client, allowed for the most pragmatic of solutions to be found. |
