Watts was commissioned by the client
to provide a survey of Santiago de Compostela 96, to evaluate the condition of the building and advise on the suitability of a conversion to residential units. Inspections were undertaken and design and condition reports of the property were prepared. Following the completion of the investigation, the property was purchased by the client. It had belonged to a Spanish private investment company, and, since its completion, it has been occupied by the Regional Court of Justice.
The commission required the expertise of in-house building surveyors, as well as the coordination of sub-consultants to inspect mechanical and electrical installations. It has a surface car parking area and underground parking facilities comprising an area of 6,200 sq m. The building is located in a residential area in north Madrid and was constructed in 1994. split over 13 floors.
