Watts Architects was appointed by GE Capital, the new owners of Tolworth Tower, to refurbish and fit-out the 20th and 21st floors. Tolworth Tower is an iconic 1960s office tower, designed by Richard Seifert, which continues to provide excellent high quality office space in this sought after location of southwest London. The contract was negotiated with Walter Lilly, who were experienced with the particular constraints of the property. The contract was completed on programme within the 12 weeks stipulated by the Client.
The two remaining floors were fully refurbished to provide modern speculative office space with new suspended ceilings, Category 2 lighting, wall decoration, carpet tiling and electrical distribution, via skirting trunking. The existing perimeter induction units were fully overhauled and the casings clad in ash veneer to match the new ash door leaves and skirting.

Watts Architects had ten years earlier refurbished the reception area, common parts and several floors of Tolworth Tower for Postel, now known as Hermes Property Asset Management.
