The Wind Street scheme is a brownfield development in the newly regenerated cafZ quarter of Swansea. It comprises 17 separate mixed-use units, including a health club, hotel accommodation, a multi-storey car park and various bar/cafZ units. The scheme represents a significant leisure development in this important regional city.
Watts was appointed at early feasibility stage, initially to provide strategic advice on both Rights to Light and Party Wall Matters. As the scheme progressed, we provided more detailed advice and our remit was widened to take in other Neighbourly Matters such as crane oversail issues.
We served the requisite Notices under the Party Wall etc Act 1996 on behalf of the client. Subsequently we were appointed as surveyor under the Act and agreed various Party Wall Awards.

Our long-standing experience of major city centre developments helped facilitate strategic client decisions at an early stage. We identified potentially difficult areas, where we expected third party rights to be affected, and positively influenced the scheme.
