Chris Morton is a chartered building surveyor and joined Watts in 2004. Based in
London, he is a senior member of the commercial building surveying team and
specialises in neighbourly matters, including party wall matters, access
agreements (e.g. crane and scaffold licences), boundary issues and rights to
light. A member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club, the leading organisation for
party wall consultants, Chris Morton has been involved in this specialist area of
professional work for more than 18 years.
Recent projects with which he has been involved, include:
- Party wall work and advice on access licences associated with a new build
project, consisting of houses, flats and B1 for a developer in Holland Park, London W11.
- Neighbourly matters work on behalf of adjoining owners in respect of
commercial/office development in Camden, which included basement excavation and piling.
- Advice and negotiation for access agreements in respect of structural
alterations to floors separating two retail premises in Oxford.
- Advice in respect of a way leave agreement for an electricity cable on
behalf of the owner of the affected land in Camberwell.
