Office:BELFAST
Harry is a new member of the organisation, having taken up his position in the
Belfast office at the beginning of September 2007. Much of Harry's previous
20-year plus experience in construction/property has been with the public
sector. Harry spent over ten years as a building surveyor with DOE(NI),
involved in the maintenance and development of the governments property
portfolio including properties such as the NI Parliament Buildings and Stormont
Castle. Harry then moved to the post of conservation manager with Environment
and Heritage Service where he managed the technical and craft teams charged
with the care of Northern Irelands historic monuments. His management role
included surveying and specifying for some iconic sites such as Dunluce Castle
and Hillsborough Castle. At the end of 2004 Harry moved to the private sector
taking up the role of associate director with Anderson Williamson Ltd where his
dual role was the management of the building surveying section and the
coordination of the building surveying and quantity surveying arms of the
company.
Harry was elected to professional membership of the RICS in 1995 and obtained
his MSc in building conservation in 2004.
Within excess of 20 years work in a construction environment Harry has 'hands
on' experience in most areas of building surveying but his chief interests
would be in the areas of building conservation and scheduling for repairs and
rehabilitation.
