Jonathan Grimes is a chartered building surveyor and joined Watts in London as an associate in 2006. He gained his degree in building surveying at South Bank in 1983 and was elected to membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1987.
Jonathan has obtained experience in all aspects of commercial and residential building surveying, but, since becoming an associate at Watts, he has specialised in due diligence work and neighbourly matters work. Jonathan also provides advice to property investors and occupiers concerning property condition in conjunction with acquisition and disposal of property. He has extensive experience of landlord and tenant matters, specifically strategic dilapidations advice, as these affect proposed repairing obligations, lease breaks, surrender negotiations and actions for breach of contract.
