Neil Stevens is a chartered quantity surveyor and joined Watts in 2004. A
director in the London office, Neil is responsible for all aspects of financial
management and control. His experience to date includes:
- development monitoring for lenders and funds;
- giving early advice to clients on preparation of budgets;
- undertaking financial feasibility estimates, option appraisals and
comparative design studies (including fire insurance valuations);
- detailed estimating and cost planning;
- undertaking risk analysis, value engineering and life cycle cost studies;
- preparation of master programmes and cash flow projections,
- advising on procurement strategy and forms of contract;
- reviewing design proposals;
- advising on the selection of tenders, preparation of tender documentation and
analysis of tender submissions;
- evaluation of contractual issues;
- post contract cost reporting and control;
- negotiation of final accounts and project review/audits; and
- contract administration and employer's agent services.
Neil is qualified to degree level in both quantity surveying and cost management
of building engineering services and has been a member of the Royal Institution
of Chartered Surveyors since 1998.
