Paul was educated at Reading University in the early 1980s, and became chartered in 1988. He is married with two children.
Paul joined the firm in 1989 and became a director in 1995. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Association of Building Engineers.
He is experienced in all aspects of building surveying work, but has a particular specialism in "Neighbourly Matters" such as rights to light, party walls, daylight and sunlight amenity, oversailing/access agreements, boundary alignment. He is responsible for keeping the annual Watts Pocket Handbook updated in respect of these matters and he is also a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club for party wall surveyors. Paul is still very much engaged on a day-to-day basis with clients and service delivery on various projects. Paul is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors of the City of London.
Paul has lead the development of the firm's document template system and he has previously been responsible for reviewing and approving terms and conditions of any formal appointments and warranties that the firm is requested to execute.
