The extension of Southgate Hotel comprised the construction of 44 new bedrooms adjoining the existing hotel. The site posed significant challenges in terms of both logistics, and geotechnical and archaeological issues. Watts was commissioned to manage the project to ensure these risks were managed and mitigated where possible, whilst keeping the hotel fully operational throughout the programme.
