Watts was appointed to provide project management and employer's agent services for this landmark new mixed-use development in the historic town of Windsor. The scheme is currently the largest single development on the M4 corridor. The client is aiming to achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' (2008) rating and Code for Sustainable Homes level three, by using the most modern techniques and materials to produce a contemporary office and living environment within challenging financial and programme parameters.
Watts' brief was to manage a wide ranging multi-disciplinary team to steer this exceptional scheme to successful completion, including acquiring planning permission, demolition of an existing 4,645 sq m office building and basement, and the construction of new offices, residential apartments, ancillary retail space and public realm access to the adjoining park.
