The Royal Albert Hall The Royal Albert Hall
The Grade 1 listed Royal Albert Hall is one of the country’s most treasured and iconic buildings. It was opened in 1871 by Queen Victoria is primarily an arts venue best known for holding the annual summer proms. Watts was commissioned to carry out a full condition survey and planned maintenance programme including building structure and fabric, building services and the grounds of the Royal Albert Hall. The purpose of the survey was to feed into a longer term maintenance cost strategy to enable the Royal Albert Hall to make informed decisions relating to size of the overall funding reserve required and the appropriate split between day to day operational maintenance and long term development / replacement projects.
