In a programme of individual maintenance contracts and refurbishment procedures, Watts provided project management, design, contract administration and planning supervisor services for the Opera House. Watts guided the project team through the maze of theatre dark periods, listed building consent procedures, fire strategy and escape analysis reports. Contingency plans were then prepared for unforeseen technical problems, which could adversely affect the completion date and final account.
Watts delivered the major refurbishment works within critical time frames, in order to avoid disruption to seasonal programmes.
